…Wow. Although this is NOT my usual genre l was totally immersed in the story. Ogres and elves and flying dragons began to seem the norm, and yes l too was upset when they died. Great characterisation throughout. Brilliant dialogue. l don’t know what genre l would call it – perhaps science fantasy. Thank you for choosing me as a winner otherwise l would not have chosen to read this marvellous book by Christopher Bramley

An Epic tale of fantasy and adventure. One which I read in a day! Heroes, Villains, Loyalty, Treachery, well developed characters, and some of the Best detailed Combat I’ve read! These are just a few of the things within which make the book. If fantasy, old or new school is your thing, this book is a Must for your collection. I can’t wait for the second instalment. I’ve got a copy on Kindle but this is a definite addition for my hardback collection.

If you are looking for a beautifully contrasted world with characters you will grow to know and love then look no further than Christopher Bramley’s first work. Part 1 of the trillogy will leave you wanting more and more! Epic battles, thrilling adventure and majestic characters all make this book one of the best books I’ve read from a new author for a long time! Recommend 100%!!

This has been one of my favourite reads since Game Of Thrones and The Saxon Chronicles. Christopher Bramley brings the charactors to life and makes you genuinely care for them……I have been on the edge of my seat the whole way through this book……roll on books 2 and 3.

I have literally just finished this and I LOVED every word, couldn’t put it down, even resenting the family for interrupting my reading. I enjoyed meeting the characters and watching them grow, really getting behind them and feeling their emotions. The book is full of great detail that gave plenty of insight and I was totally carried away with the story and engrossed in the world, even if I was a little overwhelmed and confused by some of the combat stuff. Couldn’t recommend this enough to anyone into this genre, you can really get a feel for the authors love of works of a similar vein and his literary favourites. My only concern is how long do I have to wait for book two?
